Mary Hogg established the Firm in 2007 and is Senior Partner. Mary was admitted as a Solicitor in 1996 having obtained an honours degree in Law. Mary deals with a wide range of Private Client work with particular emphasis on Elderly Client issues such as the preparation of Wills, Powers of Attorney, Trusts and Probate. Mary also specialises in all issues concerned with Family Law and Employment matters.
Gillian graduated from Northumbria University with an honours degree in law and qualified as a Solicitor at Hardington Hogg. Following a period of working in the South East, Gillian has recently returned to the firm and now heads our Property Department. Gillian is an experienced solicitor and has practised in property for a number of years. She has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to residential and commercial transactions and takes a proactive approach at making your transaction as stress free as possible.
Gillian is currently away on maternity leave but during her absence James Mayne will be running the conveyancing department. We look forward to welcoming Gillian back later in the year.
Trish joined the firm in 1999 when it was previously known as Hindmarsh Guy. She works part-time and is the practice manager and accounts clerk for the firm.
Ella joined the firm in 2017 and is secretary for the conveyancing department. Ella has not only a wealth of administrative and secretarial experience but she has also qualified as a member of the Institute of Legal Executives. Ella worked within the matrimonial department of a legal practice in Suffolk before moving to the North East. If quotes are required for conveyancing matters, please contact Ella and she will be happy to assist.
Susan joined the firm in 2016 with a background of 24 years’ experience as an administrative assistant. Susan is the practice receptionist and also provides secretarial support and cover when required.

Jackie joined the firm just over two years ago having worked as a legal secretary since 2001. Jackie is the personal secretary to Mary Hogg and, as such, supports Mary in dealing with probate and matrimonial matters. We are pleased to welcome James to the practice in his role as a conveyancing/property solicitor. He will be running the conveyancing department whilst Gillian Pierce is on maternity leave. James comes to us with over 40 years’ experience in general practice and during the last 15 years his speciality has been residential conveyancing and private client work.
