Gillian graduated from Northumbria University with an honours degree in law and qualified as a Solicitor at Hardington Hogg. Following a period of working in the South East, Gillian has recently returned to the firm and now heads our Property and Family Departments.
Gillian has many years’ experience as a solicitor in both property and family matters. She has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to advising clients on divorce, children matters and financial settlements following the breakdown of a relationship. She is also highly experienced in dealing with residential and property transactions including those of high net worth. Gillian takes a proactive approach to making your transactions as stress free as possible.
Probate / Estate
Stacey has recently joined Hardington Hogg she graduated with her Degree in Law in 2012. She has worked in a variety of law firms across Leeds, Tyneside and rural areas of North Yorkshire. Stacey specialises in Private Client work, she has a sensitive approach and a solid experience in dealing with Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Probate together with the difficulties which can arise in Estate Administration.
Stacey is a member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and is currently finalising her studies to attain Graduate Membership.
Stacey is a keen supporter of the Alzheimer’s Society and highlighting the issues faced by those diagnosed with Dementia together with their family and friends.
Mary Hogg established the Firm in 2007 and is Practice Consultant. Mary was admitted as a Solicitor in 1996 having obtained an honours degree in Law. Mary deals with a wide range of Private Client work with particular emphasis on Elderly Client issues such as the preparation of Wills, Powers of Attorney, Trusts and Probate. Mary also specialises in all issues concerned with Family Law and Employment matters.
Tax / Estates Practitioner
Geoff joined the firm in 2012 and assists Stacey Withington in the probate department. He has over 50 years experience in the personal financial sector and started his career in the Executor and Trustee department of one of the major High Street banks. He gained the Charted Institute of Bankers Trustee Diploma and specialised in estate and trust administration. Geoff is very familiar with double taxation relief and its complexities, and has spent a number of years providing advice to High Net Worth individuals on matters such as estate planning, Will drafting and personal tax planning.
Ella joined the firm in 2017 and is secretary for the conveyancing department. Ella has not only a wealth of administrative and secretarial experience but she has also qualified as a member of the Institute of Legal Executives. Ella worked within the matrimonial department of a legal practice in Suffolk before moving to the North East. Stacey Withington's Secretary & PA
Jackie joined the firm in 2015 having worked as a legal secretary since 2001. Jackie is the personal secretary to Stacey Withington and, as such, supports Stacey in dealing with probate matters. Should quotations be required for Wills or Lasting Powers of Attorney please contact Jackie.
Susan joined the firm in 2016 with a background of 24 years’ experience as an administrative assistant. Susan is the practice receptionist and also provides secretarial support and cover when required.
Trish joined the firm in 1999 when it was previously known as Hindmarsh Guy. She works part-time and is the practice manager and accounts clerk for the firm.
